Summary: The main objective of this research is to analyze and evaluate the fatigue behavior of cable-stayed bridges. Based on a literature review, some criteria were defined for pre-designing and controlling the service behavior of the elements of the bridge, as well as the chosen cross sections to be studied. Using the FEM software ANSYS, a parametric analysis was performed, varying some properties such as: spacing numbers of stay cables, cross section types, length of spans, cable systems and the connection of the stiffening girder to the pylon. In relation to the fatigue behaviour of the stays, good results were observed for side span / central span ratios of 0,2 to 0,3, while for the ratios of 0,4 to 0,5, these should be analyzed in each case, especially the anchorage stay cable.
